The Camp Experience

Our camp makes a tremendous impact in the lives of foster kids. Five days of immersion at camp goes deep and breaks barriers.

At camp, kids make friends as they are celebrated through a variety of camp activities. Kids have FUN through group games, creative crafts, swimming, fishing, boating, archery, woodworking, dress-up tea parties, pinewood car derby, singing, storytelling, campfires and learning God’s word.

AT CAMP, YOU’RE FAMILY

Campers stay in family-style cabins with 8 campers and 4 counselors per cabin. Meals are served family style with each cabin unit seated at the same table providing the campers with a sense of belonging.

Our faith-based curriculum includes songs, skits and lessons on God’s love. Throughout each day, volunteers coach the campers by reminding them of Biblical truths in a fun and loving environment.

Campers receive hand-written notes from other campers and volunteers. On the last day of camp every child receives a personalized photo memory book and audio player of camp songs. These mementos are treasured by campers for months, even years, after camp ends.

Celebrations Matter

A foster child’s birthday can often be overlooked or overshadowed. At camp, we believe that celebrations matter and mid-week we have a fun-filled birthday party for all of our campers! Each child is made to feel special through cake, presents and plenty of surprises!

We also celebrate each child individually when they “graduate” from camp with a special bonfire on Thursday night. Our prayer is that each child leaves camp knowing about God’s deep love for them.
